My LSD Dream Emulator Experiment.

Honestly I have no idea what truly came over me to do this. I spent 40 days every night playing one session of LSD Dream Emulator before I fell asleep. I played the game a long time ago when I bought it on the Japanese PlayStation 3 store however I never played it too much. So in a sense this was my first time to play it and well how I played might be very unique. My friend AN encouraged me to play it and when I threw out this idea she loved it but did warn me it could cause some nightmares. It did create a lot of just odd dreams however a good chunk of them were dreams of my youth. I did question why did the game evoke me to dream so much of my younger days. My only thought was maybe it is because it is an old looking age and thus tricked my brain into dreaming of the past.

I found the experiment to be rather fun though. The first 2 weeks I was actually having a blast. I had a few nightmares mostly the one with that dog that kind of made me nervous about the experiment. However now looking back at it there was only one single day that I felt odd throughout it because of the dreams. Some days I would be groggy waking up and having it linger into the mornings but was nothing too bad. I will say this was my first big video to edit, originally I wanted to keep it into one video but I ended up having to split it into 4 parts. Honestly I wish I did this a bit later since I have learned how to edit better since then. My friend Mark has been helping me so much with video editing. I do plan to make a follow up video about games that were inspired by LSD Dream Emulator. Have yet to even really start it beyond just gathering some games up. I do have another Experiment video on the horizon coming very soon as well. I also have had thoughts about doing this same thing with Yume Nikki which I might just do further in 2026.
